It’s easy to feel beat up over life. It’s easy to forget who you are. It’s easy to forget whose you are. But who said we wanted easy?!?! Today, we need to stop looking for the path of least resistance and we need to remember WHO we are because of WHOSE we are.

How do you see yourself?

Really though. Stop and consider: How do I see me?

Do you see yourself as “nice.” Maybe “kind” or even “bold every once and awhile??”

Oftentimes, how you view yourself is based upon how you behave. You call yourself “nice” because you were nice that day. You call yourself “brave” because you were brave during that hard conversation. Or, you see yourself as an avoider because you have been avoiding ever since you can remember. Or you see yourself as controlling because well, you have controlled things ever since you can remember.

Again, all of that is based upon behavior. Who you say you are is congruent with how you see yourself behaving. Those may be your standards, but they are not God’s standards. They are not Biblical standards.

You have forgotten WHO you are because you have forgotten WHOSE you are and now you are believing that who you are is based upon what you have done. This is NOT true. This is not Biblical, it is not truth so may today be the greatest PATTERN INTERRUPT of your life. May it be an ABOUT FACE that gets you back into divine alignment and causes you to live victoriously.

Any other way to live is well, boring.

Who are you?

Scripture says, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” Romans 8:37.

Did you catch that?

Who are you?

YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!

But not because you did anything to conquer. Not because you missed the mark. Not because you did all the right things. You are more than a conqueror (who you are) “through him who loved us” (whose you are).

You are because HE IS!

That means, you walk freely in the gift of grace and the blood of the lamb. This is where this gets GOOD.

In the book of Revelation it says, “They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony” Revelation 12:11.

The blood of the lamb! Did you catch that? When Jesus died for you, before the high court of heaven, there was complete removal of sin from the whole body of Christ. THE. WHOLE. BODY.

That means, your forgiveness is secure in Him. It was secure before you were born, before you accepted him as your Savior, and especially now that you call him Lord. But Jesus didn’t go this to make you “savable,” he did this to save you! That means he finished the work and made an end to sin and clothed you in righteousness because of who he was/is and what he did. This allows you to now walk in righteousness, also known as RIGHT STANDING with him.

That means, the blood of the Lamb is not as excuse to keep sinning, it’s an invitation to RIGHT LIVING.

The blood of the Lamb is not to quiet your conscious from wrong doing, it empowers your spirit man to rise up and be who God created you to be despite the sinful nature.

The blood of the Lamb doesn’t cause you to just get by as a mere sinner, save by grace, it’s your opportunity to live powerfully, courageously, boldly as a son and daughter of God!

The blood of the Lamb is your conquering weapon! It reminds you of WHO you are because of WHOSE you are and it enables you to live empowered, by grace, filled with the Holy Spirit who lives in you to do BOLD things for God! That means we don’t rest as we accept his bloog, we overcome sin and satan YO!!

The blood of the Lamb brings alignment, identity, and our ability to abide in his presence!

The blood of the Lamb allows you to enter boldly into his presence no matter how wrong or how right you’ve been. The blood is your boldness, not your performance.

This is how we overcome… in the heavenly places first! Then, practically speaking, then we get on the offense CHURCH.

Some of you have been playing defense. You’ve been reactive. You’ve been responding. And this isn’t just in this season, it feels like a lifetime. Well, I am here to tell you today, we are not playing defense. We are playing offense and God is our rear guard. The word says:

“They shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard” Isaiah 58:8.

AMEN.

The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard! So goooooooooo!

And lastly, how you overcome is by “the word of your testimony.”

Someone today has forgotten the things God has done based upon what it appears he is not doing right now. But I am here to tell you today, God is NOT done, and you are in route! Don’t doubt him just because you’re in route. Don’t doubt him just because he’s not done. Instead, look back on your life and reflect upon all the times that God has heard you and answered you! Remember that time you were seeking God… in that place of pain… looking for a new job… fighting through loss… that big question… and remember when God met you? Answered you? Brought you a miracle?! Yes, that. Share that testimony TODAY. Though you might still be in route to your next miracle, you’ve had one before and it’s in “the word of our testimony” that we prophesy! Because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy, which means if he’s done it for YOU, he will do it for ME and if he’s done it for ME, he will do it for YOU!!

So i encourage you with this:

  1. Take the time to reflect upon what the Lord HAS done. Go back and remember his goodness and the way that he’s answered prayer.
  2. Write about it. Tell of his goodness.
  3. Then share that. Post a comment HERE, on this blog. Write it on social and tell the world! Tell your family at dinner time. Tell a stranger at the park. SHARE IT.
  4. Be encouraged in this and don’t stop doing it! It will empower your spirit man, remind your heart, and cause you to continue to look for the miracles of God even in the midst of new ones being created.

This is how you overcome.

You overcomer you.
